Essay on alzheimers

As a caregiver for 36 years and working an Alzheimers unit for a number of those years, People do not realize how difficult it can be to care for a loved one at home with Alzheimers. These people will wander off in the middle of the day or night and not make a sound. These units have alarms on all doors so people don’t wander out into a dangerous storm or into cold weather. Placing a loved one in a facility to care for them is a very difficult decision and is not taken lightly by many families. Families toured our facility and asked questions about safety measures. I loved listening to Glen Campbell back in the 70’s and have some of his albums. God Bless him and rest in peace Glenn.
