The 48 mile-long (77 km) international waterway known as the Panama Canal allows ships to pass between the Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean, saving about 8000 miles (12,875 km) from a journey around the southern tip of South America, Cape Horn. Built from 1904 to 1914, the Panama Canal was once a territory of the United States although today it is part of Panama. It takes approximately fifteen hours to traverse the canal through its three sets of locks (about half the time is spent waiting due to traffic). For more information about the Panama Canal read my article here on the Geography GuideSite.
SUPERCOMPUTER is the fastest computer of the world in terms of processing. It is very powerful and very expensive, everyone can’t afford supercomputers. The most use of Supercomputer is in military applications, weather forecasting, industrial design, and oil exploration. Here the example of fastest supercomputer “JAGUAR” .It is on rank three today but it will soon on number one. Jaguar is working on upgrade which lift JAGUAR to ten to twenty pet flops in end will lead it to the top supercomputers. Due to this up gradation it will cross Tinahe-1A and K, after that it will become fastest computer. The most likely things is that they are introducing GPUs (Graphical Processing Unit) in Jaguar. If a CPU could have fifteen and more computing cores then GPU could have more than hundred.
